Sea kayak leader training
Location:
This three day course is based on the west coast of Scotland, close to Glenuig. We will meet at 9.30am on day 1 at a location near to Glenuig, and will finish by 5.00pm on day 3.
Is it for me?
To get the most out of this course, you’ll have experience paddling your sea kayak in winds up to force 4, waves up to 1m and tidal flow up to 2 knots and feel comfortable in these conditions
Content:
Over the three days, we will:
Look at all the personal paddling tactics and techniques to paddle well in the moderate sea environment.
Look at the leadership skills required to lead groups of sea kayaks in the moderate sea environment.
Spend time developing rescue skills and incident management scenarios.
Develop your tidal planning and weather interpretation skills
